CAREER TO DATE

Over his career, Gary has spent most of his time working on the highest profile events which have required some of the most innovative solutions available in the London insurance market. Gary's career has seen him work with some of the most complex and time sensitive insurance challenges that the international events & entertainment industry has to offer.

He would never say he’s seen it all, as the industry is a great innovator, but he has certainly solved some very unique and unprecedented problems over his time. Starting in nightclub insurance at the age of 22, he moved on to live events ten years later in 2012 and from there spent his time working with every stakeholder in the industry from individual freelancers to event production companies and promoters.

As individuals and companies from the UK industry took the lead across the events world, the projects he worked on became more ground-breaking and would take place in more unique locations. Post pandemic, Gary has been responsible for large complex insurance placements including cover for innovative entertainment venues and cancellation insurance for large international tours.

OUT OF THE OFFICE

Outside of work, Gary is a serial collector of pop-culture items from the 70s and 80s, items and interests include the record players from Studio 54 and the full line of original Star Wars toys from the 70s and 80s. He also claims to be Daft Punk’s biggest fan having first come across them clubbing in Paris in the late nineties (ask him about his tattoo).

He lives outside of Manchester on the edge of the Peak District with his wife and baby daughter, her first word was ‘plane’ and so he hopes that when she’s older she will spend time with daddy building and flying model aircraft.
