CAREER TO DATE

Andy began his insurance career in 1985 as a commercial insurance underwriter before moving into insurance broking in the early 1990s. Over that time, he worked with a wide variety of clients, from property owners to heavy industrial and multi-national organisations.

Since joining a specialist broker in 2002, he has worked exclusively with the theatre industry, advising and arranging insurance programmes for productions ranging from small plays to major West End and Broadway shows, as well as national and international tours. His work has often involved complex and challenging scenarios, providing expert advice on all aspects of insurance required for live productions and related businesses.

OUT OF THE OFFICE

Outside of work, Andy can usually be found on the golf course, listening to heavy rock music of all kinds with a particular passion for 1970s classic rock, The Darkness, and Scandinavian death metal or browsing the vinyl racks at his local record shop.

He enjoys attending as many rock concerts and festivals as possible (the louder and muddier, the better) and is a long-suffering supporter of Sheffield Wednesday. When time allows, Andy and his wife love going to the theatre, travelling, and working on their ballroom dancing skills, and he continues to find new ways to justify keeping a drum kit in the house.
